We decided to carve Parker's pumpkin today. He was so confused at first. I don't think he realized that you could do anything else with a pumpkin other than roll it around.
I stuck Parker's hand inside the pumpkin and he thought it was pretty gross. After that, he was content to let me do all the dirty work, although he helped me with a spoon.
Notice how he's watching Greg kiss the pumpkin. He wasn't quite sure why we were asking him to kiss it.
Well, we can say one thing... he sure likes the taste of pumpkin!
The finished product!

I love you parker!
IF OBAMA WAS PRESIDENT THIS HALLOWEEN: Ethan, Parker and Parkers friend Audree get ready to go trick or treating. Parker decides he just wants to stay home and play with the pumpkins, Ethan goes trick or treating down one street. Now Audree she trick or treats to all the homes in the steeplechase neighborhood and then goes to all the homes in the shores neighborhood. She comes home from a hard night out and a BIG bag of candy. Well when she gets home Obama makes her parents give half of her candy to Parker and Ethan. Audree says but why, I did all the hard work, and you want me to give half my candy to Parker who did not even go out, and to Ethan who just went out for 15 minutes! Obama says yes Aubree, I want to spread the wealth, it is better for everyone. The haves and the have nots, it will make it an equal playing field. It is the fair thing to do.
Grandpa 2008
That's a very cute pumpkin. Brian doesn't want to deal with the mess until we get a house. So I guess no pumpkin for us this year. Plus there aren't really any good ones left anymore...we're a little too late.
Oh and tell Grandpa that I love his little story with Trick or Treating. I better be seeing parker out there tomorrow!!!!
This will totally be me next year -carving pumpkins with an (almost) 1 year old... So fun! I need a baby just to have someone to play and be silly with for Halloween...
BTW, the baby's name is going to be...
Jackson McKean Gilbert :)
HAPPY HAUNTING!
How fun! Maybe both Garett and Parker will do better with the pumpkin carving next year!!
