Parks and The Dev

We had ourselves a little funny photo shoot tonight before bedtime. Parker sure loves his little sis.

We told them to make crazy faces in this one... :)

Parker and Grandma Stauffer

I just had to blog about Parker's conversation with his Grandma Stauffer.

Grandma: Parker, did you go to nursery today?
Parker: Yeah.
Grandma: Did you have fun at nursery?
Parker: Yeah. Girls!
Grandma: Oh yeah? Were there girls there?

(At this point, we're all thinking he's developed crushes on girls already and then...)

Parker: Girls! Hit them!
Grandma: (trying really hard not to laugh) No... we don't hit girls. That's not nice. It makes them cry.
Parker: Yeah. Cry!

It sure makes you wonder what happens in nursery when you are not around! :)

True Blue BYU Fan!

When we were at church today, one of the speakers asked the congregation, "How many of you out there are football fans?" In response, and much to our surprise, Parker stood up on his chair and yelled, "GOOOOOO COUGARS!" That received quite a few chuckles from people around us, especially when Parker kept repeating it as Greg tried to hurry him out of the room! If that's not dedication to BYU, I don't know what is!

GOOOOOOOO......

COUGARS!

Monkey See Monkey Do

Parker saw Devri sticking her little behind in the air and decided to teach her how to do it properly!

More Pics

More pics at the request of family members who live far away!

Proud Grandparents

Here are some pictures recently of the proud grandparents (sorry, my dad's been in Utah so I don't have a picture of him).

This was Devri's first actual bath (instead of a sponge bath) and wow, it was no big deal to her! She slept through the entire bath! We did not get a single peep of complaint out of her!
Sorry, for those of you who already saw this post... I got sick of the orange pictures, so I changed them to black and white (it's a little easier on the eyes!)

Just to give you an idea of their differences, the picture below is of Parker when he had his first bath!

(Sorry to everyone who commented on this post already... it accidentally deleted them!)

Uncle David Meets Devri!

David just got back from southern Cali this afternoon so he made his way over to meet his new niece! As usual with newborns, she slept for most of his visit, but we were able to wake her up for a little bit. David concluded that Parker looks huge now with Devri around. I think we all agree. He also said that Devri looks like Greg. Honestly, I have no idea who she looks like. I think it's easier to have an opinion when it's not your own kid!

Here is Devri and her proud uncle!

Paparazzi

This video shows Parker's dislike for the paparazzi and how much he dislikes being disturbed during nap time.

Parker-size

Parker has been such a good boy lately and to celebrate, he got his own treat. He sure loved having a treat his own size. He wants to be just like his daddy!

I caught a smile today!

I try to take a few pictures every time she is awake and not hungry... which is a very rare thing! So, here are a couple:

She started falling asleep, and to my surprise, I captured a big smile on her face!

Parker and Devri

Parker still likes being an older brother. He always wants to hold her now, which isn't always convenient for us, but it's cute. He's always trying to steal her from us while saying, "Hold it, hold it!" He doesn't understand that she is a "she" not an "it" - ha ha, oh well!

Home at Last

So, we've been home for a few days now, but as expected, we've been really busy! Devri, who was sleeping great at night in the hospital, decided to become our little nocturnal one and so we haven't slept too much. Parker absolutely LOVES Devri and we haven't had any problems with jealousy... yet. :) The first morning after we came home, Parker woke up, walked out of his room and said, "Devri go?" He wanted to know where Devri went and he was quite happy to discover that she was still here in our home. He gives her kisses and pats on the arm (we're trying to get him to stop touching her head) and he is constantly standing next to me on the couch with his arm around me, smiling down at Devri like the proud brother that he is. For the most part, he understands that I am a little disabled at the moment and he is gentle with me too. What a cutie! So, I will try to give more updates as things progress, but I'm running out of time to finish this post!

Right before we left for the hospital

Devri (obviously) - I loved that she came out with all of that hair!
