Halfway to CPA!

Two tests passed, two more to take! Way to go, Greg!

I just wanted to say how proud I am of my husband. Greg gets up early to study before he goes to work and then studies after the kids go to bed. It takes a lot of time to get through all his study material before each test (especially with having to work full time) and I love him for all the effort he has put in to support our family.

Cousins

Today was Ethan's second birthday (Happy Birthday buddy!) and so Parker, Devri, and I headed over there in the morning to play with him for a little bit. I stole this picture from Jamie's facebook, but as you can see, Ethan, Noah, Devri, and Parker just love that they are cousins! It's their first picture all together.

P.S. As you can see, Noah and Devri are very close in size. Devri is almost two months old and Noah is only three weeks old. Right now he is a pound heavier and an inch longer than her!

Devri's First Acting Role

The primary in our ward was acting out the Nativity as part of a gift to give to the parents at Christmas time. Well, I was asked if Devri could play baby Jesus. I said it was fine as long as they didn't mind that she was a girl! Tons of pictures were taken and I'm hoping to get those pictures eventually, but I had my mom take a few so that I could blog about it to all of you!

Devri's Two Month Stats

So, Devri doesn't hit two months for two more weeks, but we have already had her doctor's appointment. Poor girl had to get three shots so she was a little grumpy yesterday. Much to Parker's surprise, he got a flu mist too while we were there. Apparently, they give you the option of a flu shot or a nasal spray. In retrospect, Parker might have done better with a shot since he kept covering his nose and saying, "No, no, no" over and over again when the nurse was asking him to sniff. Ha ha! Oh well. So, here are Devri's stats:

Weight: 10 lbs - 25th percentile
Height: 23 in. - 75th percentile
Head Circumference: 15 in. - 25th percentile (she did not inherit Parker's big head!)

So in comparison, Devri is much more petite than Parker. Parker was never below the 75th percentile for any of his measurements.

Thank you Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Fafara for the gifts for Parker and Devri! The clothes and toys were cute and a wonderful surprise! Here is Parker opening one of the presents:

He's excited to put on a puppet show for Devri. Thank you!

Twin Bridges

Devri had her first hike yesterday! Greg, Parker, Devri, my Dad, and I went to Twin Bridges on Labor Day. The weather was perfect and the water was freezing! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring the swimsuits from the car, so that is why you'll see Parker in just a diaper in some of these pictures.

Apple Hill

Parker, Devri, and I went to Apple Hill today with my parents and Brandon. Unfortunately, Greg had to work, but we were able to bring him back some yummy treats!

Parker had his very first taste of cotton candy. Some random kids gave him some and he was very afraid of it at first. He thought we were all crazy until.... he tried some!

Uncle Brandon and Devri

We also got to feed farm animals, which Parker thought was a lot of fun.

Feeding a Goat

Staring contest with a bunny

Parker was telling us that chickens say "Bagaah!" when this little girl decided to correct him, telling him that chickens say "Bock bock!" It was pretty funny.

Feeding the pigs

Parker was too scared of the cows to feed them so he kept saying, "Mommy, you do it!" After our trip, I asked Parker if he was scared of the cows and he said... "Yeah!... Bite.... finger!" I guess I wouldn't want to get near the cow either if I thought he was going to bite me!
