Time Flies By

It feels just like yesterday that Parker was born and yet, he's already more than a year old.  I remember my parents always gushing over pictures of us when we were little and now I find myself doing the same, missing my sweet little baby.  Even though I miss those days, I wouldn't trade them because I have such a sweet little boy now and it is so much fun to watch him grow.  This first picture is from last year in August when we went to Pebble Beach.  In an effort to show you how much Parker has grown, we tried to recreate the same picture this year so you could see the differences.  I didn't have this first picture with me in Pebble so we were just guessing when we took the second one.  We got close enough.

A few of us went on a drive down to Big Sur.  Look at this beautiful beach!  I love the color of the water.
Brandon and David were trying to climb this rock.  They were not successful... too much water.  It kept filling up waist high before they could attempt the climb.
Parker loves his Aunt Jamie!
Our second day at the beach

I took Parker down to the water's edge.  He loved watching his Daddy play in the water.  It was a little too cold for Parker though, because he would start shivering every time the water touched him.
SHARK!  Just kidding... there were four or five dolphins swimming near the guys.
The boys spent the whole week imitating each other.  They were hilarious!
The boys were sharing some kind of inside joke.  It may have involved unkind hand gestures.

Parker always sticks his tongue out when he's concentrating.  He gets that from my Dad!
Note to self: Sand tastes terrible!

Uncle Preston helped the boys build sand castles and then he dug a big hole for them to sit in.  That entertained them for awhile.
This was in the backyard of the house.  Overall, we had a great trip!

Don't Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

Parker likes golf balls... a lot.  The only thing is, he doesn't understand why everyone uses clubs.  Every time someone would step away from their ball, he would hurry over to pick it up.  The thing is, he wasn't satisfied holding one ball, he wanted to hold them all!  My Mom turned around to see what he was up to and this is what she found...

Very creative Parker!

Pebble Beach 2008

This was Parker's second time at Pebble Beach and I must say, he was a lot more active this time around! Of course last time, he was only three months old. We've had a lot of fun so far and I thought I'd post most of the pictures now, but there are still more to come!
I love this picture of Parker. He looks so sweet!
Greg and I out on the front patio

We walked down to the tide pools to find golf balls. Parker enjoyed watching the balls fly through the air from below.

We were in charge of dinner one night and Greg, of course, made an awesome pasta dish! Yum yum!
And, of course, our vacation wouldn't have been complete without a trip to the beach. Parker and his cousin, Ethan, had matching outfits. So fun!
Greg catching some waves

Thanks to Parker's Aunt Jamie, he had a bucket and shovel to play with. He could have played with it all day.
My Mom caught us off guard while we were enjoying the beach. :)

Uncles are crazy, but Parker loves them anyway.

Parker discovered seaweed Parker is already trying to be one of the big boys. He wanted to use the boogie board.

Parker's easily entertained!

The boys followed each other everywhere. It's nice to have cousins!

Our Day Away

About a week and a half ago, Greg and I went to San Francisco to see a play with my Aunt Richele.  We saw the Drowsy Chaperone and it was VERY entertaining!  I definitely recommend it.  Unfortunately, we forgot our camera so we have no pictures from our day in the city.  Parker, however, spent the day with his Grandma and Grandpa Stauffer (thank you Mom and Dad for watching him ALL day!) and if you know my Mom, of course she was prepared with a camera.  It was fun to come home and see pictures of what Parker did all day when we were gone.

Preston and Jamie brought Ethan over so the boys could play together.  They love being together now and they follow each other all around the house.
Sometimes they still have issues with sharing, but they're getting better.
This is Parker's favorite spot in the house.  The gate blocks the rest of the stairs, but he considers that first step as his own and no one elses!  He is constantly grabbing toys and going over to his step to play with them.
Next, the family headed over to Big Spoon Yogurt for some ice cream.  I think Parker knows what he's about to eat!
Yum Yum!  I'm sure Parker loved that Uncle David was willing to share with him.
The boys
They were having fun for a little while, but it was getting late.  These next few pictures happened in sequence.  Ethan started to get upset... watch Parker's reaction.

Parker wanted outta there!

Grandma and Grandpa took Parker on a walk, but he was so tired that he fell asleep right away!
When they got home, Grandpa decided to share his music with Parker.  I don't think Parker liked his Grandpa's taste in music!

All in all, it looked like Parker had a very fun day.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
