We spent this last weekend with Greg's family on a camping trip to Island Lake. While we had a lot of difficulties not being able to have a fire, it was still a lot of fun.

More Hiking Pictures... and yes (to those who wondered), we did go swimming in this lake when we got back from our hike. It was way cold, but so awesome!

Scaling this cliff was a real challenge for Greg. I, however, was in peak physical condition, exerting hardly any effort at all. :)

Parker trying to zip up Uncle Jeff's tent... he absolutely LOVED it when we first set up our own tent. He kept running back and forth inside it, running in to the walls and falling down. The kid was crazy!

It is impossible to keep kids clean while camping!

So, it gets really cold at night when you're camping in the mountains and my Mom told me I should get a beanie for Parker's head to keep him warm while he's sleeping. So, I went to Walmart last minute on our way out of town, but they told me beanies were not in season...what?!! So, not one single person has a need for a beanie all year round? In my haste to have something warm for Parker, I just grabbed a crochet needle and some yarn. I made his beanie on the drive to the mountains. I made it a little too long, but practice makes perfect... I'll try again later!

One of the few pictures where we caught Parker smiling. Everyone kept chanting Parker's name and clapping. He loved every minute of it!

I want to give a shout out to my Grandpa Stauffer! See what I'm doing below? We had a wonderful omelette breakfast that first morning, thanks to you!

We had a great time, but I sure loved my hot shower when I got home!

This looks like so much fun! What a beautiful spot...did you swim in that crystal blue water? I am jealous I really want to go camping!
So freaking cute! But...who takes a kid camping in a white sweatshirt? LOL! Love you!
Okay, cool new blog background! I love it.
Second, you are not supposed to look good camping Sarah, you're breaking all the rules-- girls are supposed to look all puffy and blotchy in the morning but you look at pretty as always -- no fair!
Finally... little Parker camping! so cool. I can't wait 'till our little guy is old enough to take out. I plan to start him up at Camp Nauvoo asap!
I was just thinking the same thing...it should be illegal to look so cute, relaxed, and clean while camping. Darn you Sarah! Lol!
