Stay Tuned...

Tomorrow morning we get to meet our little Devri. We are very excited and nervous as well. I'm sure many of you are anxious to see pictures and I promise to post them on the blog as soon as possible! I don't know if they have wireless internet in the hospital or not. If they do, I will post the pictures myself. If they don't, I am having my mom post the pictures on her blog. Her link is located on the right under "Mom and Dad Stauffer," but just in case, here is the actual address: prestonnlinda.blogspot.com

Thanks for all of your support!

Last Day As An Only Child - Part Two

After lunch and a nap, Parker and I headed to my Mom's house. As it turns out, my mom got a little rocking chair for the grandkids to share. Parker loved it! He carried it back and forth between the living room and the family room all afternoon!

We headed outside for a little while and Parker had fun in the little pool and in the sprinkler that made it look like it was raining.

Parker showing you what a monkey says...

I think he's just a little too close to the TV. What do you think?

He thinks he's playing the video game.

He wants to be just like the big boys!

How do you know when you are getting too caught up in a video game?..... You come away with a welt on your forehead from hitting yourself with the controller!

To end the evening of fun, Parker enjoyed some ice cream from Baskin Robbins. Yum!

Last Day As An Only Child - Part One

Well, today is Parker's last day as an only child. I realized how busy I will be with this new one and decided that Parker and I needed a fun day out! So, after dropping Greg off at work, we headed to Jamie and Preston's house so Parker could play with Ethan. After running crazily around the apartment when they first saw each other, Parker and Ethan moved the festivities outside, where I decided to take a few pictures.

Can I just say how much I love Ethan! When I pulled out the camera he was so ready for me! He sat or stood wherever I wanted him to and then he would get down and come over to take a look at his picture. I loved it! If you'll notice in the picture below, Ethan is taking a peek at me, and then there is my son, who doesn't want to be anywhere near me when I have the camera! Half the time, if he knows I have it, he will purposely run away. Little stinker.

The best part was on the slide. Ethan would sit there and let me take his picture, but Parker kept trying to slide down the slide. Ethan was only too happy to give Parker a helpful push down the slide so that he wouldn't crowd the spotlight. It was hilarious!

Hear No Evil (second attempt)

Speak No Evil

I love having cousins!

Aunt Jamie was kind enough to fix the boys a snack. Here they are enjoying it!

Thanks for letting us stop by, Jamie!

Stay tuned for the rest of the day's events!

Parker's Nap

For those of you who don't know, Parker's not the best at going to sleep. He will cry before every nap and every bedtime. It is totally frustrating, but I never give in and he always falls asleep eventually. Well, apparently he likes sleep more than he's been letting on. Today, he got a late nap and I didn't want him sleeping too late in the evening so I went in and woke him up. I walked out of the room and left his door open, knowing that he would get out of bed and be shortly behind me. Well, I heard him get out of his bed, walk across the room, and then shut the door! I was doing something on the computer so it was fifteen minutes later when I bothered to open his door again to see what he was up to. Well, I found him asleep in his bed! I guess he just wasn't ready to get up... and he sure let me know it!

Pioneer Days!

So, I had intended to take lots of pictures of the family, food, games etc. But.... being pregnant and all, I found myself overwhelmed with all the yummy food and thus... I got distracted. I did manage to get a few pictures of Parker, who started playing in the sprinklers when they turned on. Sorry everyone! I will do better next time.

Parker's Special Spot

More often than not, when the air conditioner turns on in our apartment, I know just where to find Parker. He loves hanging out by the air intake for some reason! Half the time he loves that the suction pulls at his clothes, but the other half he just likes to sit on the ground and play there! It is in the dining room and he opens my bedroom door as far as it will go in order to create his own little corner. Here he is cuddled up with a blanket.

P.S. One more week and Devri will be here!

Exhausted!

Greg took Parker swimming earlier today and they must have gotten a great workout! When they came home, I made Parker a sandwich and then started talking to Greg on the couch. We realized Parker had gotten pretty quiet and this is what we found:

A half-eaten sandwich and a sleeping little boy! Poor guy must have been really tired. :)

Dinner and Devri

So, Parker is my big eater! We had a zucchini pasta tonight for dinner and Parker went back for seconds and thirds! Even after he stopped eating and there were still a few zucchini on his plate, he would say he wasn't done. I think he sat there, doing nothing, for a good half hour after we had finished our dinner!

For those of you who don't know, 2 1/2 weeks until my C-section and Devri's arrival! I'm finally starting to feel prepared now that we've bought pretty much everything we think we need! I'm sure we probably forgot something though. Here is Devri's side of the closet (so pink and girly!). Parker is being good so far about sharing his room and closet. I guess we'll really find out how sharing he is once she gets here!

Thank you Jamie for the idea of doing letters for the walls in the kids' room! Here are the finished products!

Pebble Beach 2009

We had a wonderful vacation in Pebble Beach this last week! It was great to get away from the hot Sacramento weather!

Now where would we be without a little golfing, considering we were on a golf course!

Parker would set his ball about an inch from the hole before trying to hit it in!

Parker was afraid of the waves at first, but then he warmed up to them quickly.

Parker became very familiar with us telling him to be quiet when we were on the porch during the day. Here he is, demonstrating his quiet skills.

Telling everyone to be quiet again!

Don't worry, we cleaned the window!

Caught red-handed with a cookie!

I love this one... hanging with the big boys!

Parker picked me a flower!

His modeling pose

A special thanks to Georgia for letting us stay in her house and to Grandma Stauffer for booking it for us! We had a blast!
