Kemp Park

We took Parker to a park that had a little water feature. Parker was nervous at first, but after Greg ran him through the water a few times, he started to have fun.

Watch out Parker!

We told him to hug the water. Ha ha!

He sticks his tongue out when he concentrates... just like his Grandpa Stauffer!

You could tell this kid was having LOADS of fun on the playground! :)

34 Weeks

Well, here's another shot of the belly.
Highlight of my week:
I went to the grocery store and the man behind me in the check out line took one look at me and said, "Any day now, huh?" to which I replied, "I wish! I have until the end of July!" He then said, "Wow. You look like you are going to pop!"

Ha ha ha... thank you... I guess. :)

Funny thing is, lately I've been telling people I'm due the end of July, but technically I'm due August 8th, and we're doing a C-section one week early. Either way, they still look at me like they don't believe me.

For You Greg

Okay everyone, there are a lot of pictures in this post, but I wanted Greg to be able to see what Parker was up to this afternoon.

Parker and I bought new shoes today. He was all ready to ride the bus to school in this picture!

Here is Parker helping Grandpa water the garden. Parker would scoop up water from the pool and bring it over to Grandpa, saying, "Here you go!" By then, nothing was in hand. He sure felt like he was helping!

Parker had a moment where he didn't like his new shoes.

This one is just for laughs!

Another close-up on the shoes... he was loving them by this time!

Grandma caught Parker stepping on bugs!

Ice cream!

Rinsing off in the pool

Uncle Brandon Saves the Day!

Now, I am sure I have no need to elaborate on the size of Parker's head. I've made everyone aware of it in previous posts. Being the mother of a rather large-headed child, I find myself trying to prepare for any circumstance where Parker's head could cause him trouble. But alas, I did not get to Parker in time today. Thankfully, Uncle Brandon saved the day!

Yay! His head came out in one piece. Crisis averted.

Shake Your Booty Puma!

Okay, so I have two little stories to share with you all.

First, in reference to a milkshake yesterday, I started singing the song, "shake shake shake... shake shake shake... shake your booty...." (hopefully, you all know the song I'm referring to). Well, I only sang those lines once but then half an hour later I pointed at our milkshake and said to Parker, "Look! There's our shake!" Parker then looked at me and shouted, "Shake your booty!" I'm sure the people in the restaurant got a good laugh out of it because he then continued to shout it for the rest of the night. I forget how well he repeats things. I'll have to be more careful in the future. :)

This morning, Parker was watching a cartoon, when I suddenly heard him shouting, "Puma! Puma! Puma!" The cartoon was asking the kids if the picture of the animal being shown was the one needing to be rescued. The cartoon then said, "No, it's a puma!" What?!!!!! Since when does Parker know difference between a puma and other cats let alone the actual word "puma"? I didn't even know it was a puma! He's already smarter than me!

Parker's Big Boy Bed

I got a picture of Parker sleeping in his big boy bed today at the end of his nap! He's been sleeping in it for about a week and things have been going great! However, I did hear him crying in the middle of the night last night, only to find the he was on the floor! He was sitting up, but I'm not sure if he fell out or if he climbed out and then got scared because it was dark! All it took was a quick hug from me then he climbed back into the bed and went to sleep! Success!

Waking Up

Oh so happy... ;)

Our New Car

Well, we are car owners once again! They agreed to tint the back windows for us so I have to go back one more time for that, but then we will be all set on the car front for Devri's arrival!

What Were You Thinking?!

The question above is for my brother, Brandon, in response to his picture below. I think it is pretty self explanatory. For those of you who don't know my brother, he is the one on the bottom right and he HAD such cute hair!

Corn on the Cob

So, we had a pretty yummy dinner tonight, courtesy of Greg and our grill. Now, we know Parker likes corn, but we didn't realize how much he loves it on the cob! We had cut off some for him, but after everything was finished, he wanted to chew on the cob! He is still chewing on it as we speak and it will be interesting trying to pry it from his grip later on!

Activity Days - And Parker's Appt.

Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday I get together with the 8 and 9 year old girls from our ward for an activity up at the church. Greg and Parker usually come along as well just to get out of the house for awhile. This is a picture of Parker just before a HUGE thunderstorm came rolling in! It was a perfectly nice day and I had no idea that an hour later, we were going to be pelted with huge raindrops.

Parker had his two-year old appointment at the doctor's office yesterday. Well, last time he went to the doctor he was 15 months old so let's just say he didn't remember anything about it. I told him he was going to get a shot and as we were walking up to the office he kept saying, "Shot! Shot!" I don't think he realized that shots weren't very fun. Well... he did great! They pricked his finger to take some blood and they gave him a shot in his leg. He literally watched the lady take blood from his finger without making a face and the only reaction from the shot was his eyes widening just a little bit. No tears or anything. What a tough guy! Alright, here are his stats:
Weight - 31.3 lbs (75th percentile)
Height - 34 1/2 inches (75th percentile)

and the infamous Head Circumference.....
20 1/4 inches (95th percentile)!!!!!!!!!

Well... he still has Stauffer in him, that's for sure! :)

Total Bummer!

Just to keep ya'll updated... our car was totaled. And the sad thing is, I couldn't find any pictures of it! I hope I have some somewhere, but there aren't any on my computer. Sad day! Here is a picture I found online of the same car, it just isn't our exact one.
And for your viewing purposes, I blurred the section of our car that got hit.

We bought our Camry right after we got married and it was so sad to say goodbye to it. We've traveled a lot in it and have plenty of memories of being stuck in the snow! I really just wish we had pictures of it for memory sake...
