A Good Book is Rarely Dusty...

Calling all readers!!!!! I need something good to read, preferably fiction! In accordance with the title of this post, all my books are definitely not dusty because I've read them so many times... I need something new! I just signed up for a library card today and I have several books on hold that were recommended to me, but unfortunately, I came home empty-handed. I just didn't want to pick any random book yet from a shelf and Parker was with me, which severely cuts my ability to peruse. So, help me!

My test of a good novel is dreading to begin the last chapter.  ~Thomas Helm

You know you've read a good book when you turn the last page and feel a little as if you have lost a friend.  ~Paul Sweeney

Breakfast for Dinner

So last night, we decided to have a little family breakfast party. When Greg got home from work, we all got in our pajamas and ate belgian waffles. Parker loved them! We put peanut butter and his Grandma Stauffer's homemade strawberry jam on his waffle and he went to town! When Greg and I finished, we looked over in time to see Parker licking his plate because he thought it was so yummy. It almost looked like he had chicken pox so I took a picture so everyone could see.

Also, I took a couple pictures this morning of our apartment at the request of a couple friends. There are also two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a laundry room, but I just took a couple pictures of the main rooms.

Parker tried to get in on every picture

I should have paid closer attention to what was on TV. Why would a shaving commercial be on Nickelodeon?

Huntington Beach - The Beach!

We had a beautiful day at the beach. We really didn't need the sweatshirts we brought that day. Here is Parker not liking the sand. You could tell he wasn't comfortable walking on it all by himself.

Greg and Parker treasure hunting! Nothing like a little metal detecting to distract Parker. He had his shovel all ready to start digging once they found a good spot!
Thank you seagull! This bird cured Parker of his fear of walking on the sand alone. He chased this little bird everywhere!

As you can tell, the bird flew away.

After that, we couldn't keep Parker away from the water. It was pretty cold, but Parker couldn't get enough of it!

Huntington Beach - Christmas Gifts

We went to visit Greg's grandparents in Huntington Beach after the New Year and Parker had so much fun. Here he is with his oh so cheesy smile in front of his own little house (Greg used to play in it when he was little too).

Greg's mom sent gifts for Grandma and Grandpa as well. Here they are opening them!

Christmas Morning

I don't have any pictures of Parker on Christmas Eve when we were at Greg's family's house. Once I get those pictures from them I will be sure to post them. However, I do have a couple pictures from Christmas morning. Here you go!

I think he expected a toy inside, but he got clothes! :)

Greg's Graduation... At Last!

Sorry for the delay! Here are the pictures from Greg's graduation! It was a fun night, but the whole thing lasted for four hours! In my opinion, a graduation doesn't need to be that long, especially when you have to entertain an 18-month old. Enough complaining. It was so fun to see Greg graduate.
These pictures were taken at the banquet before graduation.

I ran down to take a quick picture of Greg before everything started.

Yay! He's done!

We went for ice cream after and Parker had never been on one of these rides before. This was him before we put the quarter in...

This was him after! I don't think he liked it very much.
