Vegetable Pancakes

Okay... Devri is being a little stinker about trying foods. I mean, I know parents have worse problems with kids avoiding food, but I'm looking for a little advice from those who may be or have been in my shoes. Devri will not touch "adult" veggies or meats (including thinly sliced deli meat). She obviously can't eat baby food forever, and to be honest, you can tell she's sick of pureed foods anyway. Today I gave myself a nice big pat on the back for being able to "trick" my little girl. I chopped up cooked carrots and peas and mixed it in pancake batter... vegetable pancakes! She ate almost the entire pancake, with no clue about the veggies. So, any other ideas from moms or dads out there? I want her to get protein too so I'd love help with that as well. She does LOVE peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

California Capital Airshow

Grandma Great Stauffer - I know this isn't the same as being there, but I figured a few pictures might help you miss us less. We miss you and Grandpa and I'm sure we'll see you soon.

So Greg, Parker, and I went with Greg's dad to the airshow this year. It was my first time, but the guys all went last year. We were smarter this time around and we all brought ear plugs, more with Parker in mind than anything. Some of those planes can get really loud. Anyway, we had lots of fun, but it was a hot hot HOT day and so we didn't stay the whole time. We did get to see the type of plane that Grandpa Fafara was a navigator in, which was so cool. You're awesome Grandpa Fafara!

Parker was afraid of the dinosaur once he realized it came to life, spit fire, and blew up cars after chewing on them. He told us, "I want to go home" when he saw it moving closer to the crowd. Ha ha!

Parker's favorite plane... ha ha! He loves Jelly Belly anything since the tour we took at the Jelly Belly Factory this summer.

Gigantic plane!

Maybe this was actually his favorite. He thought he was shooting all the bad guys from the helicopter.

The Patriots were one of my favs...loved the red, white, and blue smoke!

Hubba hubba Parker!

And last, but not least.... my awesome husband (note the sarcasm). Ha ha ha. Gotta love a guy who can make me laugh everyday. :)
