Do You See A Pattern?

What do vitamins, baby oil, diaper rash creme, and infant tylenol all have in common?

They are all things that Parker has opened and attempted or successfully eaten!

Devri has been a little sick this past week and I had put her Tylenol by my bed at night in case she needed it in the middle of the night. Well, I forgot to put it away this morning and long story short, I realized that Parker drank more than half of the bottle and managed to put the cap completely back on (probably in hopes that I would never discover he drank it). Luckily for me, I have a HUGE sweet tooth (not always a lucky thing, but today it was) that gives me the ability to always know when someone as eaten something sweet, and when I gave Parker a hug, I smelled grape on his breath. I knew right then exactly what he did! Fortunately he was smart enough to not drink the whole thing and I was told that he would be fine and to make sure that I didn't give him any more tylenol in the next 24 hours (ha ha, like I would!).

My sister, Jamie, and I were talking on the phone after Parker's tylenol incident and we started remembering all the things Parker has done in the past. I don't know whether to call him insanely mischievous or insanely smart, but child-proof caps have NEVER been child-proof for Parker. Just the other day, I found myself having to flush Parker's eyes with water because he had managed to get laundry soap in them!

So, for all you moms out there who have a little child like mine, poison control center will become your best friend.

Luckily, I have only had to call them on two occasions, but they are seriously great! They even called a couple hours later after Parker ate diaper rash creme to check up on him.

How scary! I'm terrified of kids ingesting rash cream and hand sanitizer! Way to keep a cool head.. :)

PS... at first, I thought this post was announcing another baby!!! Hahaha

Luckily I've only had to call once when Porter managed to open teething tablets. Those things were all sugar, I don't know how they are supposed to help with teething.

So I am guessing if he is willing to eat soap and diaper cream, he is probably a pretty good eater? I can't imagine my child putting those items in his mouth but he doesn't do so good with veggies either.

Kids eat the wierdest things! It's not just your kid. Eli was all about diaper rash cream in the past. They grow out of it. Of course medicine is a little scary but I'll bet Parker was feeling really good AAALLL day! You know, we've even had...poop...yes, poop has been eaten in our house! So nasty!

Wow, he sounds like such an entertaining boy to have around-keeps you on your toes! When Ethan does crazy things I obviously scold him, but then I remember that he is just a curious kid and some of the crazy things that he does are pretty funny or amazing (as in smart, like you said). Kids...they sure do make life interesting. I love 'em!
